Very poor rubberbanding AI that will simply trying to rush to the closest checkpoints, in higher difficulities, the AI will simply spawns tons of units to swarm the player.
The campaign mode ends when it reached a certain amout of "days" (turns in-game) and the side who have won the most is the winner, which is simply made the whole campaign turned into a glorified progess bar. There's only 5 available battle maps in the campaign mode.
Poorly designed campaign mode the campaign modes is essentially Risk-styled campaign where you move your troops to the enemy territory to attack in your turn, and defending your territory in enemy turn.
Generally poor graphics (for 2019 standards) which is basically the same graphics as Men of War: Vietnam that were released in 2011.
The biggest difference here is that BMP-1 is actually an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), and it can carry troops (while the Americans at early game can only transport their troops via trucks) and that it has an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) that can easily destroying early US tanks.
Unbalanced unit rosters, for example the Americans get their three early tanks in the forms of M24 Chaffee, M41 Walker Bulldog and M4A4 Sherman, the Soviets gets PT-76, BMP-1, and T-34/85.
Only two factions were available (United States and Soviet Union), while several key factions during the Cold War (China, North/South Korea, North/South Vietnam, United Kingdom, West/East Germany) is unavailable.
For example the M4A4 Sherman were featured in the United State's unit roster, while in reality, the US Army never used said version of the Sherman during the Cold War of the ones they did use, only the M4A3E8 was retained after WWII.
Several historical inaccuracies on unit rosters and weapons.
In fact, some of the dialouges is also recycled from Assault Squad 2.
Similar to previous Men of War titles, the game retains the infamously poor and cheesy dialouges.
While the World War 2-era tanks were recycled from Assault Squad 2, various Cold War-era units were directly recycled from Men of War: Vietnam which were released in 2011, or 8 years ago during the game's release.
The game recycled almost every assets from previous Men of War games.
